This movie is set in the small town of Woodsboro, the story follows teenager Sidney Prescott, whose life turns into a nightmare when a masked killer, known as Ghostface, begins targeting her and her friends.

This movie is successful due to its ability to mock the cliches of horror, whilst also using them to the full effect.
